Living Bold & Cold in Salt Lake City

After living in the South for the last 11 years, it is safe to say my blood has completely thinned out!!  From the heat and humidity of Florida to the sauna of Louisiana, days upon days of open-toed shoes and flip flops, just shirts and shorts, swimming in the warm pool by April and in the ocean by the end of May, it is very safe to say that I am not used to this coldness that exist here!!  I am not used to wearing boots and socks.  My toes have no idea what to make of these closed up close quarters.

It snowed last week and get this, it is supposed to snow again this week. UTAH has not gotten the memo that it is time to warm up now. Hello it's April 13th right?? right!! Well just so you know, it isn't that bad.  We have loved, loved the snow and enjoying a winter scene here.  The children have loved waking up to see the snow covered valley, and the BEAUTIFUL snow covered Rocky Mountains.  We have really enjoyed the snow and this next ski season we hope to add Abby to the skiing experience.  Too bad Alexandra won't be old enough before we move from here to learn to ski.

Mitch and Steve snowboarding/skiing for the first time.
I can't wait to go with them next year!! So much fun.

Mitch giving his "bad boy snowboarder" non-smile!
He loved it!!
I have never seen my son so happy as he was this day.

Next to watching the ocean waves roll in and roll out, I would have to say that
watching the snow falling down is a close number two.
Both bring such joy and peace to my soul.

This is our backyard looking out from our kitchen table.
The snow covered tress are prettier in person for sure.
