Where Dreams Come True...........

This year for Christmas, we took Mitch to Disney World. We wanted to do something different and fun. We left for Jacksonville where we left Abby with my mom and dad and then headed off to Disney. I don't care if you are 5 or 105, how can you not love Disney world? We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort and for the next 4 days we did everything there is to do at every park. What was really awesome was that if you stayed at one of the resorts they had what is called magic hours which means that the park opens either early or stays open late. Everyday we would get to the park around noon and we would stay until midnight or 2 in the morning. It was a blast. Mitch was so worn out by the time we left that he took a 4 hour nap. He walked every inch of the park and I was pretty impressed with him.

I wish that the picture could have captured the Cinderella's Castle better. You had to be there to really see how beautiful it was at night. I can't wait for Abigail to get older so she can see the castle and feel like a princess. I don't care how old you are, when you are near Cinderella's castle, the inner princess always comes to the surface. A dream is a wish your heart makes.............
Funny #1 - We had just gotten off the Expedition Everest ride and we were headed back to ride it again but you have to walk through the gift shops after every ride (which I hate !!!!) Mitch always wanted something and the answer was always no. So we are standing in line and Mitch in his loudest and meanest voice says, "I hate this place!!" Everyone around us starts to laugh. What kid in his right mind would hate Disney World????? So I had to let them know he wasn't getting anything at the gift shops and he wasn't pleased about that.
****Side Note: This ride while fun and exciting, scared the crap out of me the first time I rode it. I rode it 4 more times and will ride it again but I learned that I really don't like falling backwards in the dark or climbing up really really really high and being able to look down and see the ground on each side of me. Not something I would want to do all the time. :) ****

Funny #2 - Mitch and I were waiting to ride the Rockin' Roller Coaster and then all of the sudden he breaks out in tears. He was so upset. The lady behind me looked at me and asked, "Is he scared of roller coasters?" and I replied, "No, he just realized that he wasn't getting anything in the gift shop after the ride was over."

**** Side Note: This has got to be the best ride EVER!!!! I could ride this ride a million times and never get tired of it. I just wish it would last longer. The take off and the loops are seriously so awesome. I have got to get me one of these!!!****
Funny # 3 - I really really dislike the tower of terror. I have been on the ride several times and I feel I have nothing left to prove so I will not ride it again. So Steve took Mitch on the tower of terror and after the ride was over Steve asked Mitch if the ride scared him and Mitch said no. Then Steve asked him if he wanted to go and ride it again. Mitch, being really cute said, "No, I don't need to ride it again. I don't have anything to prove."

****Side Note: I HATE THIS RIDE!!! YES I ADMIT IT. I AM SCARED OF FALLING!!! ****

Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are staples. You can't go and not ride these a bunch of times. Mitch loved these rides and they are all time faves for us. Anyway, we loved Disney world and I can't wait for Abby to get bigger so we can go again. It was a blast. Best Christmas present.

Really fun post to read. (And don't forget Splash Mountain, it's a Disney World staple, too.) Oh, I wish I could go to Disney World! :(
