Tricks and Lots of Treats

My neighborhood has Halloween down right. They pick up all the children and pull them around on a hay wagon. What is great about this is you get hit with like 30-40 children and then they move on to the next house. So essentially the trick or treating is over in just a few minutes and then you get to hang out with your neighbors and it becomes a street party. It was so much fun.

Mitch was really excited about it all. This was his first hay ride and then he was able to make some friends last night. It was a superhero reunion. Mitch was Iron Man and he teamed up with a Batman, Hulk, Spiderman, and a Superman. I am telling you, we had the crime fighters ready to go.

What was really impressive was that we had our own police officer assigned to our neighborhood. He was on his bike (motorcycle) and just kept driving up and down the
streets to make sure we were all safe. It wasn't just my neighborhood that had an officer but a lot of the neighborhoods did. It also doesn't hurt that we have 4 officers that actually live here.

Anyway, Abby was a pig and loved it. I wish I had some better pictures of her. She ended up being able to make the pig noise by the end of the night and she was too funny.

Now that Halloween is over, just a 3 week count down to Thanksgiving. Isn't that hard to believe? Then Christmas............seriously. This year is really almost over. It is just crazy how fast time goes by.
